Dr. Ronnie Owens has preached in more than 1,300 revival meetings. He was saved, called to preach, and entered the pastorate at the age of 19. While being a Pastor in three states for 22 years he was listed for four years in the Top Ten fastest growing churches in Kentucky. For 12 years Dr. Owens, while serving as Pastor, baptized an average of over 100 persons each year. Each of the five churches he was Pastor of, grew in attendance and membership. The last two churches grew from an average of 120 to over 1150; the other grew from an average of 140 to well over 600, with a high attendance being 1,000 plus! Dr. Owens has also spoken on a daily and weekly radio program for fifteen years. He now Pastors the 4000 members Higher Ground Baptist Church, Kingsport, TN. Their TV Program broadcast each Saturday night with 2 million listening audiences. Through Livestream and Facebook Live they are reaching an audience in 62 nations along with Canada and South America.
Being a native of Tennessee Dr. Owens and his wife, the former Judy Burchett of Cumberland Gap, TN, now reside in Tazewell, TN. They have two children; Rhonda and Sarah. Rhonda is married to Reverend Charles Goodman of Manchester, KY, also the pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church. Sarah is a High School graduate and currently employed at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Middlesboro, KY.
Dr. Owens was the youngest school administrator for seven years in the state of Tennessee. He holds the following degrees: B.A.M.A. and Ed.D.
After entering full-time ministry, he returned to Clear Creek Baptist Bible College and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary for further training.
Dr. Owens founded and directs the Camp Jubilee, Inc.; a Bible Conference Center reaching children, youth and families from 45 states and 16 foreign countries. He has spoken at over 800 camps, campuses, conferences and conventions. He averages more than 50 revivals a year with 15-20 of those being Area Wide Crusades. Dr. Owens is also co-founder of Harvest International Missions, reaching people in several nations by leading witnessing teams, personal witnessing and Crusades.
